Reality star Amy Tapper has revealed how she lost more than three stone in only three months – despite eating three times more often than before.

Starting off in size 26 clothes, the former ‘couch potato’ – is now wearing a size 20, having lost six inches around her waist just 12 weeks.

The Celebs Go Dating star has followed in her father, Jonathan’s, footsteps by completing musclefood’s Do The Unthinkable diet and fitness programme.

Amy has tried many diets

Having battled with her weight most of her life, Amy tried many diets over the years, including weight loss shakes and even hypnotherapy, but found she could only lose around one stone each time and would always put the weight back on.

After first appearing on Gogglebox with her family in 2013, Amy, from North London, admitted that although she’s thick-skinned, she’d often search her name on social media to find cruel trolls talking about her size and appearance.

The 19-year-old would only eat two meals a day, usually scrambled eggs on toast for brunch followed by a homemade dinner cooked by mum Nikki later in the day.

Sushi being one of her favourites, Amy enjoyed at least three or four portions of the sugary meal each week.

The programme meant eating more meals each day

However, as part of the Do The Unthinkable programme Amy has actually had to up her eating to six times a day.

She enjoyed a variety of tasty breakfasts, lunch and dinner, along with low calorie snacks in between each meal.

On the menu there are a whole host of delicious meals to choose from which are all delivered pre-portioned and prepared, reducing the risk of overeating with large portion sizes.

Rethinking the approach to food

Amy, who started off at 21.5 stone and is now 18.4 stone, said: ‘When my first Do The Unthinkable order arrived, I initially found it difficult to eat all the food – but I’ve since changed my mindset as I’ve realised I really do need plenty of good food to fuel my body.

‘Do The Unthinkable has made me completely rethink the way I look at and feel about food.’

As a fussy eater Amy was worried about the programme’s food options, but with over 70 meals and snacks, she had plenty to choose from.

She continued: ‘My favourite is the Mushroom Pesto Pasta, but everything is so tasty and easy to prepare.

Snacks for on the go

‘My days are pretty busy so the snacks, like the Salt and Vinegar Chickpea crisps and Banana Granola Bars, are perfect to grab and eat on the go – I’m still eating these now as they’re just so tasty!

‘I’ve never suffered from serious mental health problems, but whenever I do feel a bit down, missing my friends or dreaming of my gap year, I’ve learned that hitting the gym allows my mind concentrate on something else.

‘I’m nowhere near my goal, but to be honest I don’t really know what my goal looks like. It isn’t a number on a set of scales or a dress size. My health is more important than that.

‘I’m taking each week as it comes and losing bit by bit, and it’s making me feel great.’

Keeping the weight off

Amy is hoping to follow in her father’s footsteps by keeping her 3.1 stone weight loss off by sticking to her gym routine and learning about food.

The musclefood.com Do The Unthinkable plan provides customers with tailored low calorie and low fat meals which are delivered fresh to your door weekly.

The plan also contains optional easy-to-follow home workouts to help keep members on track.
