Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been slammed for a huge Hollywood mistake, as A-list pals reportedly “shun” them

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have reportedly been “snubbed” by Hollywood, with A-listers allegedly “worried about their intentions.”
Harry and Meghan are reportedly losing their A-list friends but do not understand why their relationships with many celebrities have allegedly deteriorated. The couple also reportedly feels they are judged differently compared to Prince William and Kate Middleton.
According to the Daily Mail’s Alison Boshoff, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s relationships with A-list friends have fizzled out. The author stated that Meghan and Harry have “no bridges left to burn.” However, they allegedly do not believe they are at fault.
“They don’t get it. They never think it is them,” an associate of the couple told Boshoff.
The source added: “They love famous people — they are very name-droppy. The association gives them a kick. But if someone stops calling, they don’t ask why.”
Boshoff also discussed Meghan’s friendship with Oprah Winfrey, claiming they are no longer as close as they once were. The writer’s source told her that Markle has “definitely been to Oprah’s house.” However, the women “are not as close as they once were.”
Former Page Six columnist Paula Froelich told Boshoff: “The truth is Oprah has been long-arming the Sussexes for some time.”
Winfrey “can’t let them drift too far away because if something happens — one of the three big Ds: divorce, death, or drama — she will want the interview.” However, “she is not actually friends with them.”
Moreover, Froelich believes celebrities may be distancing themselves from Harry and Meghan because long-term alignment with the Sussex brand could carry reputational risks.
“No one wants to hang out with Meghan,” Froelich said. She continued: “There are lots of reasons, but she might sell clothes while using their name.”
Froelich further explained: “Oprah was tarnished by her association with them. The interview she did in 2021 was so soft, and she didn’t push back on anything that was said, so she was seen as a sycophant rather than a great interviewer.”
Sky News host Danica De Giorgio spoke to Andrew Eborn after the Daily Mail reported that Oprah Winfrey feels “tarnished” by her 2021 interview with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and that George and Amal Clooney reportedly “want nothing to do with them.”
Discussing the reports, Danica mentioned that the Clooneys attended Harry and Meghan’s wedding, saying:
“Now to the non-royals — we’ve got to end on Mr and Mrs Grifter, my two favourites, Meghan and Harry. Andrew, I’m not surprised, to be honest, that their circle of friends is trying to move away, because I just feel like everything Harry and Meghan do is all about brand Harry and Meghan. It’s never about everybody else. What’s your take on this?”
Andrew said: “I think the Sussexes have been snubbed and indeed shunned. You’re absolutely right — a lot of people are coming out, and the concern is that Meghan is now making sure you can click on her clothes, buy the very same dress, and she’ll get a kickback from it. People are worried that the relationships are transactional.
“The reason she’s mixing with these A-listers — and they love to be surrounded by A-listers — is because they can financially benefit as a result of it.”
However, he added that Meghan’s Suits co-star Abigail Spencer had told him Meghan was “lovely.”
He continued: “We don’t normally hear that side of things. You hear the positive side from Abigail, but a lot of these people in the public eye are very worried about their own brands.”
“You talked about the Oprah interview, and many people pointed to the fawning nature of it. It wasn’t the kind of interview where questions were properly challenged in a deep, penetrating way. It was a wonderful free ride,” he said, adding that he felt the couple’s standing in Hollywood was “cooling.”
Danica replied: “Oh, well, it wouldn’t surprise me, honestly. It just seems like they live in this Montecito bubble, where everything is about them, and everything else falls outside of that.”
