The Ned

The Ned’s former life as the Midland Bank made it a temple to wealth, but as Soho House’s flagship hotel it’s all about the health. With not one but two pools, a Cowshed spa, a resident physio and an on-site clinic offering Elixir vitamin drips, The Ned is like a sumptuous wellness retreat slap bang in the middle of the City. Out of the eight (yes, eight) restaurants, Malibu Kitchen is the spot to head for cold-pressed juices, acai bowls and spirulina shots.

St Pancras Renaissance Hotel

Just entering the Hogwartsian entrance hall of the St Pancras hotel feels like an antidote to the stressful scurrying that is King’s Cross station. The spa in the basement offers further ways to unwind, with an ornate tiled hammam, pool and top-notch treatments. After you’ve doing your detoxing, the ‘Tails of Discovery menu in the Booking Office bar features a Mushroom Martini. Which totally counts as one of your five a day.

Bulgari

As sleek and glossy as one of their leather handbags, the Bulgari hotel in Knightsbridge has the biggest hotel pool in London. So that’s 25 metres to do your laps in, or just lounge beside in one of the cabanas. At Lee Mullins’ Workshop gym, some of London’s top PTs and best equipment can be found, but things get really interesting in the treatment rooms, with therapies such as acupuncture facials by David Peters and cryotherapy sports massages on offer.

Town Hall Hotel

The elegantly renovated Town Hall Hotel in Bethnal Green has a hip heated pool in the basement (think copper fixtures and rubber ducks) and L’Occitane toiletries in the bathrooms. Plus the small plates menu in The Corner Room manages to be both healthy and delicious. Sprouting broccoli with pistachio pesto and thyme, anyone?
